Following the recent violence in Plateau State, Nigerian Youths in Politics (NYP) has issued a statement calling for the federal government to adopt institutional, community-based security models. Leaders emphasize that the current reactive approach is insufficient and urge for the immediate practical application of state policing frameworks.

As Nigeria prepares for the next General Election, the National Consultation tour was designed as a strategic tool for the Nigerian youths in politics on the National Working Committee (NWC) to engage with elder statesmen and political stakeholders on nation building and peaceful and credible election 2027. The National Working Committee, comprising representatives from frontline national youth leaders across the nation, sets strategic agendas and rules of engagement, monitors electoral umpire/ stakeholder activities, promotes collaboration, and advocates for increased youth inclusion in governance. The tour also reinforces efforts that will ensure peaceful, credible, and violence-free elections in 2027, positioning young people as active contributors to Nigeria’s democracy consolidation
